身近な自然から材料を採取し大量生産とは対極の物作りをしています。
今回は、工房から徒歩圏内の自然から採取した材料を、野ウサギの毛並みのような優しく調和のとれた釉薬に変えた作品を初めて展示させて頂きます。
使い手に愛が伝わるものが作りたい。
使うと優しい気持ちになって欲しい。
作品を通して自然を感じて欲しい。
そんな思いから作られた作品をご高覧頂けたら幸いです。

Yosuke Asai is an ceramic artist who embraces the surrounding nature in his neighbourhood.
He is inspired by it. The soils, stones, and plants that he turns into his ceramic works are nothing but ordinary; he goes out and finds these materials in everyday places.
His fundamental belief is polarized to mass production. He strongly believes in a sustainable way of life in which we are simply a part of nature and must co-exist with it.
He wishes that his ceramic works brings a warm feeling to their users. Every time a person holds it, may she be filled with a gentle love and feel a breath of nature.
